I have been a part of Dustin’s mastermind group for about two years. During that time, he helped me transform my appraisal business completely. I thought I was good when I was personally inspecting all of my properties, and I was super efficient using data master to input my comps. Unfortunately, you don't know what you don't know. Now, I have a full-time virtual assistant, a quality control review appraiser, a call service to answer every call, a part-time office manager, and an inspecting appraiser who loves to do the inspections and never wants to write up a report.
Dustin is one of the most knowledgeable coaches in our industry. He genuinely cares about our success. He can help at a high level with hiring the right people, but he can also get into the weeds of shaving 3 minutes off your report writing time.

The best part of being part of the group is the opportunity to be around positive appraisers working on their businesses, just like I am. The in-person mastermind is a setting that no Zoom call, class, or phone call can emulate. Listening to other couch sessions is way more helpful than I imagined. At first, I felt like I was “behind” as a solo shop, but I soon realized that we learn to add systems and processes to give us more time to do what we want to do. If you want to have the same number of assignments but do them in half the time, Dustin will show you how to do it. If you want to create a business that runs without you in the daily operations so you can sell it, Dustin will show you how to do that, too.

It's a fairly big monetary and time investment when most appraisers are slow, but I will give you one more reason to make the investment. Dustin has a good heart. I know it sounds cheesy, but he is just the kind of guy you want to be around. He can totally talk smack with the best of us, but he has never been judgy or looked down on an appraiser for not knowing something. You can't fake that.

I am so grateful to be in the group, and my connections have made me a better appraiser and business owner. No matter what the economy or market brings next year, I am prepared to take on whatever with Dustin and my appraiser peeps behind me!
