They are the most loving humble people and their example will have lasting effects on my life! I am so grateful I was able to become closer to my Heavenly Father and savior Jesus Christ! This trip was the most life changing thing I’ve ever done. I was able to go somewhere new and experience the culture with all my new friends. The 17 day trip was incredible. Of course it still had its challenges, but I think that’s what made it even better. I loved being able to have a digital detox and come closer to Christ and those around me. I know that God was in every detail of this trip and showed his miracles to us everyday. I loved the sightseeing weekends and just having fun. There was never a dull moment. I’ll never forget this trip and I’d recommend it to anyone and everyone.

HXP was the best decision I’ve ever made! Everything about it was full of fun and overall an amazing experience. I met some of the best people ever both in my group and the locals. I fully believe this trip is a once in a lifetime opportunity and some of the things you learn you’ll never be able to learn anywhere else. I recommend HXP because of the experiences you will have during excursions but also spiritually! These 2 1/2 weeks have been the best weeks of my life, and I want others to feel that joy and love and happiness that my group and I felt. I could honestly write a book on HXP trips! I can't even begin to explain the value these experiences bring to not only me as a parent builder/grandparent builder but more importantly to these young teenagers. Many of them have never worked this hard physically in their lives. The level of spiritual experiences is off the charts for many of them. They just can't get this level of spiritual experiences anywhere else! The phone detox is an incredible thing to watch too. Where can you bring 20 youth together that have never met each other and within two short weeks they are best friends for life (in many cases)! And you ask me why I would recommend HXP. This is the short list. It is an inspired program for every single teenager no matter what their background! In the end, it is all about serving the people that you have chosen to visit!

A once in a lifetime experience! Loved visiting the country of Guatemala with my son and getting to know the people there. Being immersed in the culture was a highlight of the trip. Visiting their homes, going to church, attending activities, teaching English; loved it all! Our trip leaders and Builders were amazing! Couldn’t have asked for a better co-parent builder as well. My heart grew 10 sizes in Guatemala! Would recommend HXP to teens and adults alike! We were all changed for the better through this experience.

The experience my daughter and I had with HXP was life changing. I’m aware that not all trips and groups run as smoothly as ours did, but I feel lucky that we were part of something exceptional and that what we were able to give back to the refugees really mattered. I have been on other humanitarian trips with another organization and each have their strengths and weaknesses, but the overall experience I had with HXP was beyond more rewarding and more life changing.
