I give the place an overall 3/5, but I give Alexis Deno that works there a 5/5. She is so helpful, empathetic, gets back with you in a timely manner, and has great communication skills! Love her!

Overall I would give it a 4 stars but Mrs. Dora gets a 1000/10 I unfortunately did not get her first name but she was extremely helpful and answered every question I had about vpk and summer time care

This place is supposed to help but the case workers are rude and straight up disrespectful I then ask to speak to a supervisor and once again bad customer service they tell you turn paperwork in then take so long to review your case then say your paperwork is to old because they took so long to review the case then once you are finally approved for funding they find another reason or excuse to make you wait again. They figure because we need assistance they can just give you their behinds to kiss. I guess if you’re poor or trying to do better for your family you don’t deserve respect. No need to speak to the supervisors they are just as bad not once did I receive an apology for the rude behavior and then for complaining I got rejected again and put to back of the line because supposedly everything I submitted was not up to date because they took so long to review it. The Lakeland office is out of control and and need associates who actually want to help!!! I wish I could give them zero stars

If you need help with child care then this is the place to go. Just be mindful that they are slow and give out misinformation. For example, they tell you there is no waitlist and that funding is available just for you to end up on the waitlist as they previously stated they didn't have any. Then when you are off the waitlist funding is still not available! Ana Lopez was my care manager. I have been leaving emails and voicemails for the past few days and still didn't get a response because she is too " busy" so an agent told me. PS: workers come and go in that place. ELC would be much better if they would be a little bit more structural with their customer service representation and how they respond to others. I know for a fact Ana Lopez and Angela DeFalco have seen my constant emails and voicemails I left because they have responded before with no problem when I had questions etc. Now that my child is on the waitlist all of a sudden I get no Response from email or any callback, they are there to help families instead we are met with horrible customer service.

Super slow to get a response, but if you are persistent, they are great. Helped me with the cost of my son's daycare for a full year. I can't complain. Ms. Baker was extremely helpful in speeding up the process as well.

Apparently I make too much money to get any kind of help when I have to work 60 hours or more a week to pay for child care so I don't lose my job but that doesn't matter. It's ok I'm already contacting the governor and representatives. Since my call this morning letting me know I make too much because I have to so I don't get fired and my children get in daycare. I have already spoken with a few people to take care of this and I have many more to go.
