My mother was a patient of Dr Bae for close to 2 yrs. The doctor is nice, however the office is a mess/ lack of communication/ does not respond when you need something. There was a medication issue when he prescribed something unnecessary and refused to discharge the med recently because she lives in an assisted living. it took over 5 days to get in touch with the doctor and he was rude about the whole situation so we got referred to a new nephorologist who isnt trying to just bill insurance. A definite skip. He just wants to take bloodwork and prescribe meds that aren't even in his specialty to keep billing insurance.

I assure you their are higher level educated doctors than this individual. Avoid at all costs. I took my father to see this individual after a Covid scare as a follow up from being admitted for 11 days for low oxygen saturation at California Medical Center “Dignity Hospital”. He states he cannot do any doctoring without medical records from the hospital my father was discharged from. I contacted the hospital and they assured the primary care provider “Dr. Bae” just needs to send a cover letter requesting his medical records from the hospital records. I informed Dr. Bae of this and he chuckles his snobby chuckle stating “that’s patient doctor confidentiality” in his broken English that he barely speaks and that I am to physically pick up the records and lay it in his hands. He claims he has no way of sending a fax and receiving this information. Which is a complete and utter lie. I don’t know what’s worse. A doctor who doesn’t know policy or a doctor that claims to know something which is untrue and lacks something as simple as a fax to provide the utmost professionalism. Anyway we are switching primary care providers upon this visit. They also claimed my father had high blood sugar level. Drew blood just to say he was fine. If you want to be probed and have unnecessary procedures to fill Dr. Bae’s pockets. This is the place for you. Please look after your elderly parents or grandparents who don’t know any better. I along with my siblings have medical background and this individual lacks any understanding of the medical field. Web md would be of greater peace of mind. Your welcome. PSs. My father was admitted to the hospital for shortness of breath and Covid. During his 11 day stay they only did blood work to find everything to be good. His o2 saturation was low so they had him there for that period for forced oxygen. Other than an xray of the lungs. No other samples were collected or noted for the records to serve any importance. Yet this individual states we must fetch this data for him as I believe him not to want to waste toner to do his job. Sad world we live in. Convenience is not for the paying customer but for the providers of service… Which is the most backwards way of thinking. Please note I have never reviewed a professional so poorly in my entire existence. Thank you, please look after your loved ones who seek medical attention that don’t speak English ie “Korean.” Find a provider that will go out of their way to do their job as that is what the medical field is about helping people find peace of mind and an answer to their ailments. I digress.

Hands down, Dr. Bae is the best doctor I have ever had. He has been my primary physician for over 25 years. At all times he has been very professional, friendly and truly interested in providing best treatment for my issues through consultation with me. And he has kept me still able to run and cruise the world in retirement.
A few months ago, I foolishly used Q-Tip to ram a big wad of ear wax down my ear canal muting out 90% outside sound. Dr. Bae gently and carefully removed the very tightly stuck wax taking extreme care not to unduly hurt me. He carefully squirted warm water in to loosen the wax and picked out the tiny bits that dislodged. He did it diligently — with emphasis on “gentlle” — for an hour before I could hear again. Well done!
No more Q-Tips for me but a big shout out to Dr. Bae!

Just called them to make an appointment. They said they're not taking new patients with PPO even though I've found them from the Anthem website. Instead, they accepts cash-patients only. I thought only cheap reatautants have 'Cash-only' policy. What a bs.
