Mentor USA contacted me and was able to assist me in handling my student loans. At first I was excited that there was help out there for this, but I did end up having more questions. I was able to reach back out to them and got in contact with Michelle who was very knowledgeable and professional. She took the time to describe their services more in depth and further educated me about my student loans. It was very helpful to be able to understand what I would need to plan for in the future and how to handle the amount of debit I collected. I am very happy with the customer care and knowledge they have provided. I would recommend their services.

Mentor provided excellent customer service to me recently. I had an issue with them and they were able to help solve it, by working with me. They always returned my messages and went over the contract in detail with me. I just want to point out that Customer Relations Representative Oscar Robles put up with a lot of grief from me at first, but handled himself in the most professional of manners. He went out of his way to help me. Super insightful guy. Mentor needs to give this guy a raise! If you are looking to consolidate your loans, Mentor will give you 100% honesty and will go out of their way to keep the customer happy. I recommend reaching out to them to see if they are right for you.

READ HERE IF Mentor USA called you WARNING
This is a scam, they fish for your info when go try to apply for government assistance with student loans.
They pretend to be the government they are not the government they have no legal right to charge you anything they will help you do free paper work and charge you but will not tell you they are a fake company all they do is go to the government site and do the free paperwork online with you on the phone and charge you 2000+ for it.
If you were scammed recently there is hope with enough pressure we can shut this business down and force them to reissue stolen money.
Write reviews if you have this experience and go to the better business bureau.

I enrolled with this company back in December of 2016 and I honestly don’t have anything bad to say about them because all they have done for me is lower my monthly payments and get me approved for a program I didn’t even know existed, I work for a title 1 school district and I am very fortunate to say that I work with gifted children so my days are not only hectic at times but I have no time to deal with my LENDER who NEVER told me that I can get my term reduced to 10 yrs, and that I qualify for an income based repayment, I was very fortunate to speak to Tiffany Katzmark, she is the representative that originally got me enrolled into this program and they will continue to manage my acct. I have no problem paying for a service that is not only beneficial but also way less in cost then what I was paying before, and the sad thing about this all is that I was paying on my loans for 6 years and nothing was happening, well it all turned out that the LENDER my so called loan handler had me in a graduated program because I could not financially afford to pay what they were asking, long story short is that I got notice from my lender a few days ago that it is time for re-certification and basically told me that if this is not done correctly my payments will jump back up to $389 and when I called them all I got was the run around and no assistance, I called Mentor and spoke to Tiffany again and all she said was send me pay stubs and they will get it taken care of, I am fortunate to say that my experience with Mentor has been nothing but the best and I appreciate the professionalism and immaculate customer service, THANK YOU MENTOR FOR MAKING MY LIFE JUST A LITTLE BIT EASIER . Best regards

Mentor is a Legit company! No tricks, no scam, no shady stuff, they were actually able to help me reduce my payment, I was with Nelnet before and they wanted me to pay $161 a month, I couldn’t make one single payment on my budget. I did all paperwork myself and well I learned im not good at DIY for everything! I received multiple voicemails from Mentor, didn’t want to call back because I was skeptical but I was a little desperate because I am in a tight budget and this student loan BS was really getting to me. So I called and long story short they helped me with the process, was a bit longer than expected but god im so happy my payments are now a total of $62/month. Yes I did my research and they are also certified with AFSLR.

This place is a SCAM! First of all they told me they could get my student loan payment down to $19 a month. It is NOW $2 higher then it was before. They were pushy over the phone. Told me that what they did was help me with my paperwork and walk me through it. Asked them to explain exactly what they do and they couldn't tell me anything. Signed me into a contract that I only had three days to back out of and I went on a vacation shortly after that so had no chance of cancelling my contract. As they were getting my information to sign me up they gave me no warning of hacking into my FSA account. Just told me that a number would be popping into my email and asked me to give it to them. It was a number for a password and user name change on my FSA account. If I would've known that they would do that I would've been a little leery because I see that as a little too personal of information for someone just to be hacking into. In the end this place is a joke they promise you things they can't provide. They can't explain exactly what they do. They just threaten you with a contract and do exactly what you could've done on your own on the FSA website.
Follow-up on my original review they did get my monthly payment down to the agreed amount of a little less then $19 but I still will not give them the highest rating that they could receive because as far as I'm concerned they are still rude and pushy and cannot explain to you exactly what it is they do. They just reassure you that it will all be taken care of and let you on your merry way. I myself like a little more explanation as to what's going on with my personal information and if I hadn't signed a legal contract with them I honestly wouldn't have been in this situation.

I am so grateful for Mentor USA! I owe them a debt of gratitude. Initially, I did not believe that I could enroll in a program that would SIGNIFICANTLY reduce my monthly student loan payment. But boy was I wrong! My counselor enrolled me in a program that reduce my student loan payment from $964.00 a month to $135.00 monthly. I am so thankful.
I had tried but repeatedly failed to get my loan servicer to place me on a repayment plan that I could afford but quickly discovered that although they were nice about it, they in fact were not working in my best interest. They would reduce my monthly payment somewhat, but my loan balance continued to grow month after month. They were simply placing my monthly payment reduction on the back in of my loan.
I then tried to enroll in the program myself and soon found that attempting to navigate the maze of government student loan forgiveness programs was too complex and the government offered me very little assistance. My patience ran thin and I simply gave up on the idea of doing it myself.
I needed to reduce my payments, to somethong I could afford or risk going into default. I had exhausted my options to do so a d failed. Having nothing to loose, I decided to listen to what Mentor had to say and WOW I am so glad I did. We ran the numbers and as I mentioned earlier I am saving over $800.00 a month. THANKS MENTOR! YOU TRULY PROVIDE A VALUABLE AND MUCH NEED SERVICE THAT HAS CHANGED MY LIFE.

They said it would cost $1300 for them to help and I could pay it off over the next 3 years no interest unless it wasn't paid off in time. I asked and confirmed this multiple times because I was concerned about the paperwork. Well what a dummy I was... I opened my first statement as soon as they gave me access and there was already an interest charge.
Thanks for the additional debt to manage. Now I have to focus on your loan considering the credit card level interest amount. If it wasn't for this f-up I would only be minorly upset by the fact that I had to contact you to say my consolidation had been approved 2 weeks ago.
